Long Term Care Careers

Health care workers who specialize in long-term care help patients who require advanced levels of care. This may include elderly patients, patients with disabilities and those with terminal illnesses. The number of patients who need specialized, long-term care is growing rapidly as the population ages. In fact, by year 2030, 33 million people will be senior citizens and one in five will need some type of long-term care. There is a real demand for new, skilled workers in long term-care to work in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and in patients' homes making their patients comfortable and taking care of their basic needs. Through your degree, you can help these patients and can find a great future career.

With flexible class scheduling, financial aid assistance, and over 100 degree programs, University of Phoenix can help you get there.
